Besides beating regular Shadows, you also need to face various mini-bosses as you climb up countless floors in Tartarus. Among them is Will O’ Wisp Raven, which you must fight on Arqa Floor 28, and this powerful Shadow will be accompanied by two Lightning Eagles. This battle can be very challenging if you don’t know the weaknesses of your enemies. That’s why we have made this guide to tell you the best strategy to use to beat this Persona 3 Reload mini-boss.

How to Beat Will O’ Wisp Raven Boss in Persona 3 Reload

If you want to face Will O’ Wisp Raven mini-boss in Persona 3 Reload, I recommend waiting until after the exams so you can have Akihiko on your team. During my playthrough, I decided to explore the Arqa zone as soon as possible with only three team members. It was not an impossible task, but the fight would’ve been easier with Akihiko.

Here are Will O’ Wisp Raven’s weaknesses and resistances in Persona 3 Reload:

  • Weakness: Ice
  • Resistance: Wind
  • Null: None
  • Repel: None
  • Drain: Fire

At this point in the story, Mitsuru has not joined your team yet, so you cannot use her Ice magic against Will O’ Wisp Raven. You need to have an Ice Persona, like Jack Frost. Alternatively, you can use a Bufu Skill Card to teach this magic to one of your Persona. Another viable way to deal Ice damage is by using Bufu Gems, which you may discover inside chests when exploring Tartarus.

On the other hand, the two Lightning Eagles are weak against Wind, so Yukari is extremely useful in this fight. The problem is the Shadows can cast Zio, which is bad news for Yukari since her Persona is vulnerable to this element in Persona 3 Reload. I highly recommend beating the Lightning Eagles first so the enemies won’t be able to perform follow-up attacks.

Lastly, You also need to pay attention to the protagonist‘s Persona. The fight was harder than it should have been since I used a Persona that was weak against Lightning and Fire. If possible, you want to use a Persona that resists these two elements and teaches them Ice and Wind magic. If you do this, you should be able to beat Will O’ Wisp Raven mini-boss in Persona 3 Reload with ease.

Once you have stunned all the enemies, you can perform an All-Out Attack to deal massive damage. Be warned that your party members cannot join if they are inflicted with a status ailment, such as Shock.
