What Is Pikmin 4 Blue Onion?
As in the previous games, your progress in Pikmin 4 depends on how many and which types of Pikmin you can use. But even if you find enough Pikmin in the caves, you can easily lose them in battles or dangerous locations. Luckily, there is a way you can get more of these cute creatures, namely by searching Onions in Pikmin 4.
Onion is the plant from which Pikmin of certain colors are born. You can find them in different areas and bring them to the base to grow your Pikmin. However, these Onions are often found in hard-to-reach places, such as the Blue Onion in Sun-Speckled Terrace.
How To Get Blue Onion in Pikmin 4
Blue Onion can be found in two areas, but now we will tell you about Sun-Speckled Terrace. There you can find Blue Onion above a large pond that separates it from your base. Therefore, to get it, you will need to prepare:
- First of all, you need to increase the Pikmin capacity to 40 Pikmin. For this, you will need 2 Flarlic.
- You also need to upgrade your Oatchi’s Buff skill to level 3, so it gets the power of 10 Pikmin.
- You need at least 30 Blue Pikmin.
So, to get the Sun-Speckled Terrace Blue Onion in Pikmin 4, you need to go to the pond in this area. Use 30 of your Ice Pikmin to completely freeze the pond. Then walk across the ice to the left side of the pond and build a wall that you can use to climb up. You will need 15 Raw Materials for this.
After that, you need to pick up all the Pikmin, including the Ice ones, and quickly run to the climbing wall. You have to do it before the ice melts. Once at the top, dig up a Sun-Speckled Terrace Blue Onion and drop it down onto the lower platform right by the water.
Finally, freeze the pond again and use your Oatchi and 10 more Pikmin to drag the Blue Onion back to the base. If you accidentally freeze an Onion in a pond, Oatchi’s Rush ability will help you get it out.
