If you’re a Pokemon Go player and a fan of Chansey, then you’re in luck. Niantic has released new details about a special event taking place next month that’s all Chansey, all the time. For three hours on February 4th, players will be able to enjoy increased odds of finding Chansey in the wild, finding a shiny Chansey, or hatching a shiny version of Happiny, Chansey’s baby evolution. News about the Chansey Community Day comes about a month after all of this season’s Community Day announcements were accidentally leaked, only to be taken down shortly thereafter.

So far this season, Pokemon Go has already had two Community Days centered around Rowlet on January 6th and Porygon on January 20th. The last Community Day of the season, which will happen on February 4th, puts Chansey in the center spotlight. Between 2pm and 5pm local time, Pokemon Go players will have a better chance – pun intended – of finding Chansey in the wild or hatching Happiny from an egg.

As part of the event, players will also have a better shot and finding shiny Chansey or hatching shiny Happiny. The shiny version of Chansey swaps the Pokemon’s usual light pink color for a light greenish-yellow, while the dark pink on its feet, egg pouch, and hair tips are replaced with a darker green. Even if shiny hunting isn’t your cup of tea, other benefits of the Chansey Community Day will include:

  • Successful catches will result double Candy
  • Players over level 31 will have 2x the odds of getting XL Candy
  • Lure Modules and Incense will last three hours
  • Between 2pm and 10pm, players will have an extra Special Trade
  • All trades will require 50% less Stardust

If you’re not able to catch the Community Day between 2pm and 5pm for whatever reason, don’t worry. Between 5pm and 10pm local time, Chanseys will also be appearing in four-star Gym Raids. If the raid is successful, players will find themselves swarmed by Chansey for the next 30 minutes. Chansey themed Stickers will also be available at PokeStops and in the Shop.

Interested Pokemon Go players should mark their calendars for February 4th, 2024, between 2pm and 5pm.
