Pokémon Unite will release on mobile tomorrow, September 22 at 12:00 AM PT on all devices. In acknowledgment of the release, the official Pokémon Unite Twitter page has teased a host of new features, items, and mechanics that will be available to players across all platforms.

Battle Pass, Cross-Platform Play, and More

The main new features being added Pokémon Unite on mobile devices will provide new ways for both old and new players to enjoy the game. These include new sets of gear, the addition of Sylveon and Mamoswine as new fighters, cross-play between the mobile and console versions, and much more. Cross-platform play can be enabled simply by linking either the Nintendo Account or Pokémon Trainer Club Account used when registering for the Switch version. The data transfer will begin automatically.

The newest features were given further clarification on the official website. The Galactic Ghost 094 battle pass will begin on September 22 and feature several space-themed items, including new Holowear for Gengar. Players can raise their battle pass level by competing in daily and weekly missions, and those who purchase the premium pass will earn even more rewards in return. In addition to these, the ability to create and join Unite squads will also be added. This will allows players to team up with other players to connect and play together as a team. The website also alludes to new more updates and rewards that will be available in the future:

We’ll continue to add more playable Pokémon and make balance adjustments to both Pokémon and the maps. Trainers can anticipate new battle passes, themed events, and other compelling content to make Pokémon UNITE even more fun and rewarding. Additionally, we’re developing a new mode of play designed to level the playing field for all Trainers, regardless of their held items’ grades”

The Pokémon Company will also reward new players with 1,000 Aeos Tickets, the Unite license for Pikachu, and the special Festival Style Holowear for Pikachu if they complete in-game events by October 31. The Pokémon Company will gift 1,000 more Aeos Tickets if 7.5 million pre-registrations are achieved by September 22.
