Well that certainly didn’t take very long. Nintendo unveiled some downright gorgeous new Amiibo figures during their E3 stint, enough to rope those who have moved on back into the collecting spirit. They won’t be in stock anywhere until next year, but that hasn’t prevented good old Wally World from opening up the pre-orders on their website. Here’s the breakdown on price and release date.

Of course we all want that squishy Metroid Amiibo. For now, it seems like it’s part of a two-pack along with Samus for $30, coming September 13. Speaking of price, not all these little statues are created equal. Here’s the breakdown. The Zelda Amiibos, Mipha, Revali, Daruk, and Urbosa, all sell for $16 and ship December 31. Really, Nintendo, just in time to miss Christmas? Wedding Mario, Peach, and Bowser go for $13 each, or in a 3-pack for $35. There are also Goomba and Koopa figures coming on the same date (October 7) for $13. A goomba for $13? Nuh uh. Lastly, the Fire Emblem Amiibo figures, Tiki and Chrom, will also go for $13 on December 31.

Oh, by the way, the new Splatoon Amiibo figures, inkling girl, boy, and squid, release on July 21 for $13, and are available individually with no order page for a 3-pack. The figure quality on all of these is seriously ramped up from the older Smash series ones, which justifies some of them having a price tag a few dollars higher than the others. And if you’re at all interested in any of these, you might want to get those pre-orders in. No one needs to be reminded of the perpetual Amiibo shortage crisis we’ve all been going through forever now.

You know, Skylanders Imaginators did a character creator contest to turn the winner into an actual figure. Maybe Sonic Forces should do the same deal, turn the winning player-created characters into Amiibo figures. Of course nothing anyone does will fill the deep, dark hole in our hearts born from the absence of the one the world truly needs:
