Reactions are dropping in about Donald Trump’s win, and the ladies of The View are finally sharing their thoughts. In a landslide victory, the Republican candidate emerged winner, defeating Kamala Harris but both the popular vote and the Electoral College.

In an 11-minute segment dedicated to discussing the election results, the daytime television hosts poured their hearts, mincing no words about their disappointment. Joy Behar kicked off the discussion, saying she “vehemently disagrees” with the decision made by Americans. However, she was certain that the Democratic system worked. “It’s been very difficult, but boy oh boy, do we have a country if we can keep it,” she declared. Sara Haines then went with an encouraging message, commending those who voted even if their candidate didn’t win.  She then urged fans to “feel what they feel.” However, Alyssa Farah Griffin expressed some optimism about Trump’s regime as president. She urged citizens to “bring down the temperature, name-calling, and demonizing” of the other party.

“I’ve always thought he could win…I didn’t expect it to be this resounding, and I think there are some lessons from it.”

However, Griffin’s hope was squashed by co-host Sunny Hostin, whose distaste towards Trump is well-known.

Hostin didn’t coat her disappointment with any words of optimism. “I don’t know I’m profoundly disturbed,” she began. The co-host lamented that Trump’s re-election means he now has “unfettered power” which makes her worried. She somberly explained:

“I worry not about myself, actually. I worry about the working class and my mother, a retired teacher.”

She further slammed the constitution for not preventing Trump, who she claims “participated in an insurrection,” from becoming the present. The 56-year-old argued that the “convicted felon box” on job application forms should be scrapped. Ana Navarro shared similar views, adding she was “very disappointed and very sad” by the results. She recalled being at Harris’s election headquarters when the results came in, calling it a “very sad scene.” Nevertheless, Navarro declared she had no “regrets” about trying to elect the first Black Asian Woman President.

Finally, Whoopi Goldberg shared her opinion on Trump’s victory. She started off showering praise on Harris’ impressive campaign, which was run in the space of just a few months. “Everybody can always say she [Harris] should have done this, but she did what she could,” the host shared. She then lamented the low turnout of voters. “People didn’t come out; I don’t know why, and it doesn’t even matter. He is now the president,” Goldberg explained before quipping, “I’m still not going to say his name!”

However, when Griffin argued that she had faith that Trump would employ “good, decent people,” Goldberg wasn’t impressed. “I feel okay when I’m pissed at someone who is talking down to somebody else. I’m alright with that,” she slammed. Concluding the segment, Behar expressed disappointment that Trump won when research showed “the state of democracy” was the top issue to voters. “They voted for a guy who wanted to overthrow the elections,” she lamented. “I hope they are right. I hope that they are right!”
