Anyone who’s ever played a vintage video game is probably aware that 1997 was a big deal. Between Pokemon Red/Blue, Fallout, Goldeneye 007 and the first Grand Theft Auto game, a lot of the games that made their debut that year would go on to leave deep footprints on the gaming world as a whole. Unfortunately, as any vintage gamer could tell you, it’s not exactly easy to get your hands on any of these games today, between equipment availability and prince. However, not all hope is lost – 1997’s Jet Moto 2, released for the PS1, will be available through PS Plus later this month.

If you’re not familiar, PS Plus is a subscription service similar to Xbox‘s Game Pass, giving players access to a catalog of free-to-download games. On February 20th, PlayStation announced that it would expand the service’s classics catalog to add Jet Moto 2, a 1997 all-terrain racing game from SingleTrac. Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jet Moto 2 was exclusively available on the original PS1 console, but it’s being given new tires as it gets added to PS Plus for Premium subscribers.

When signing up for a PS Plus subscription, PlayStation users have three tiers to choose from PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium. Extra and Premium both include access to the classics catalog, but Jet Moto 2 will unfortunately only be available for Premium subscribers. The PS1 game will be available through PS Plus’s classics catalog later this month. PS4 and PS5 users who don’t have PS Plus Premium will still be able to purchase the game, though they’ll have to pay for it. The price tag for Jet Moto 2 has not been revealed yet, but if it’s anything like its predecessor, Jet Moto (1996), we’re willing to bet it’ll be somewhere around $9.99.
