Dog Duty, a promising top-down tactical action indie game, is about to launch in the next season of the year fully.

Developed by Zanardi & Liza, the team behind crazy 2D action shooter Battle Bruise, Dog Duty is a real-time tactical action game tasking you to destroy Octopus Commander and his brutal army as they attempt to take over the vital facilities of the earth and building their own outpost around the world. Leading an elite squad, you will recruit three warriors at the beginning of the game for the big adventure ahead.

Dog Duty is currently available as an early-access game on Steam and features eight playable characters, each one with their own combat style and weapons. Throughout your mission to take down Octopus Commander, you attack several enemy outposts and drag their flag down. Set in various situations and disparately-designed locations, you will seize fire against enemyโ€™s Octo machines and heavily-armed soldiers.

Fortunately, SOEDESCO, the publisher and co-developer behind Dog Duty, recently revealed that the final version of the game will be hitting PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam in Spring. The exact release date is yet to be announced. The console version is set to feature all the available and upcoming updates for the early-access version of the game, including new dialogues, more interactions, revamped UI, new radio system, and eight playable characters.

Unfortunately, Dog Duty hasnโ€™t sold well enough over its early-access phase on Steam as only 14 reviews from players have been submitted so far since August 2019. However, most of the reviews praise the gameโ€™s retro-inspired gameplay and fun story.

Dog Duty is a single-player only game with no online co-operative mode confirmed by the developer so far. However, with at least 35 days remaining until the very first day of Spring, Zanardi & Liza could do more polishing and add more new content to the final build of the game.
