Horror games have come such a long way and have made impressive strides in the past few years. Dominated by a particular type of game, the horror genre hasn’t always maintained the audience it cultivates. Yet, titles such as Alan Wake remind players how the horror concept can transition very well to video games. Being one psychological thriller game that started the concept off, Remedy Entertainment knew they had a success on their hands. So much so that Remedy Entertainment has decided to remaster the original Alan Wake in preparation for the sequel. As part of the anniversary date, Remedy published a video highlighting new and exciting details on all things Alan Wake. While the sequel is still in development, the remake has released quite nicely. Showcased at the beginning of their anniversary video, Remedy revealed that Alan Wake Remastered will now release on Nintendo Switch.

When Will Alan Wake Remastered Release For Nintendo Switch?

While the video showcases just a snippet of footage of the new port, Alan Wake Remastered on Switch, it’s a great prospect for the upcoming re-release. Despite the Switch often called lower performing, the console can handle plenty. In terms of graphical fidelity, the Nintendo Switch has the potential to output great graphics. While that may be questioned in the face of cloud-only Switch titles, the released titles are very impressive. The low frame rate test footage shown is current prototype development. Despite no set release date for the ports Switch release, hopefully, the title releases before the end of the year. Remedy Entertainment remains in their directive to create finished experiences and is taking their time with this new Alan Wake port. Be sure to check back for more news on the latest Nintendo Switch Alan Wake Remastered news.
