When it comes to gaming subscriptions it’s safe to say that PlayStation Now is playing catch up to Microsoft’s Game Pass. Despite that fact, there are still quality titles available on both services with more coming every month, it’s just a shame that fans still have to stream PS3 titles on PlayStation Now. Sticking to the Sony side of things, and a new month means new titles heading to the service, with a few great games being made available for September. This month’s PlayStation Now offerings are none other than Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Final Fantasy XV, WWE 2K19, and Observation.

Here’s a rundown of the titles, should you wish to take the plunge.

Observation

The obvious elephant in the room in terms of well-known titles, sci-fi thriller Observation is a game that many won’t have heard of, yet to dismiss it outright would be a mistake. In our review, we called it a game with uniqueness and charm. One that definitely had some issues, but presented itself with a story good enough to look past them.

WWE 2K19

You know what to expect with this one. Wrestling, in video game form. Need I say more than that? Thankfully, the PlayStation Now offering isn’t the most recent WWE game as that title was a completely unplayable mess, full of bugs that should never have seen the light of day. 2K19 is at least playable and fun.

Final Fantasy XV

Despite not being the best in the franchise, Final Fantasy XV is still a lot of fun. The action gameplay since perfected by the remake of Final Fantasy VII wasn’t for everyone, and the story felt rushed towards the end, but the game is still solid. Mostly, the fun is had in the journey as you control Noctis on an adventure with his 3 friends in a quest to save their fallen kingdom. In the end, the others will feel like real brothers, and you’ll be sad to see them go.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

PlayStation Now

Perhaps the most divisive game on this list is Resident Evil 7. When we reviewed it, we loved it, however, there are some fans out there who actively hate this game. Personally, I think it’s great, and it’s the closest thing we’ve had to the original in a long time. Sure, most of the classic characters are gone, but what we’re left with is a freshness that still manages to hark back to the glory days. If you’ve missed it, I thoroughly recommend a playthrough.

So there we have the new games for PlayStation Now in September. It’s worth noting that Sony has confirmed Resident Evil will be on the service until November 30, while Final Fantasy will be available until March 1st next year. Let us know your thoughts on these, as well as PlayStation Now in general. To the comments people.
