The singer announced her divorce from Sam Asghari in August 2023, with divorce document listing their separation date as July 28. The split followed a one-year marriage clouded in mysteries. Prior to that, Britney and Sam dated for about six years, making this her first time single in a long time.

In a recent post on Instagram, Britney Spears went candid about the hassle of the single life in the wake of her divorce, describing it as weird. She also delved deeper into the positive side of the single experience, reflecting on how much it has helped her grow in various ways, ushering in a positive change. She wrote,
“I’ve had a lot of time to really look back with all the good and bad. I’ve realized I don’t talk to myself that nicely at all. I;m easily manipulated and I wear my heart on my sleeve. But I’m definitely changing all that. I have to make time to stop and re-evaluate myself and say, ‘Is this good for me?'”
While reflecting on her single life, Britney Spears admitted she felt “bored” and “scared” of a lot of things. Yet, her time being single has helped her realized a lot about herself, including the fact that only her could dictate how she lived her life. According to Britney, who endured a 10-year conservator-ship under her dad, she never realized that before because for so long, she had tons of people interfering with her life. One thing she felt most thankful for is knowing “it’s okay to be selfish with my life,” which feels amazing.
The star also recalled childhood memories from a time she used to visit nuns at a catholic shool, and how her small balcony garden always brought back those beautiful memories. Britney Spears accompanied her lengthy writeup on the single life with a photo of a nun sipping from a tea cup using a straw. The picture represented a clear depiction of the single life, a message she conveyed in her writeup.
Britney Spears Gets Restless in Bed Reflecting Her Single Life
Hours after the post, Britney Spears offered another portrayal of the single life post-divorce in the guise of an Instagram clip. The video showed the crooner clad in black knee-high boots and bikini botoms, with no top on as she lay restless on the bed. In the pic, the star had a white piece of clothing covering her chest area as she tossed and turned on the bed, ruffling her tousled locks at some point whilestaring at the camera suggestively.
While this isn’t the first time Britney would go topless in a bedtime video, sharing this just moments after opening up about her single life suggests a deeper meaning. It’s worth mentioning the star has not been linked to anyone since her infamous Sam Asghari divorce. However, she’s shared glimpses into some brow-raising moments, including a celebratory divorce video with a handful of hunky men, and dance clips with various shirtless men.
