Rick & Morty has come back to announce their return in the most extravagant way they can, a brief rambling YouTube video that captures what the show is all about.

The universe adventuring duo is teleporting onto television screens this November with all new episodes. This highly anticipated new season will mark the end of hiatus that began in the Fall of 2017.

The show’s popularity has skyrocketed since the first season. In fact, so much so that the series created massive lines outside McDonald’s as fans rushed to get their hands on limited tie-in Szechuan Sauce.

On top of the season three premiere garnering over 11 million views on Adult Swim’s online platforms, it also was the most-watched cable telecast among all age groups according to the network. It seems even your granny was getting “schwifty” with it.

There was concern among fans about the show’s future as no episodes were in production, even months after the third season ended. After extended negotiations with creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, Adult Swim finally came to an agreement last summer to order 70 more episodes. If there was a business version of “putting a ring on it”, this might be it.

Roiland has gone on record (via an interview with Polygon) stating that this new found job security for the whole staff will improve the show:

“We’re not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in between seasons anymore. We’re going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going. It’s going to be really cool,”

There is no word yet on how many episodes season 4 will be. But, no matter what the number is, Fall 2019 just got a whole lot weirder with new Rick and Morty.

What are you hoping to see from Rick and Morty season 4? Any other shows out that should get a 70 episode order? Let us know in the comments below!
