Rise of the Powers of X debuts this week and will catch readers up on their favorite mutants. Plus, it will show a glimpse of a world under the control of the mutant-hating group Orchis. The debut issue also shows readers what Nimrod and Omega Sentinel are up to as they conspire with a plan all their own. It is all leading to the end of this war which will lead to the end of the Krakoan Era.

This new series, which goes along with The Fall of the House of X to show the end of the Krakoan Age, comes from writer Kieron Gillen. Gillen is joined by artist RB Silva, colorist David Curiel, and letter Clayton Cowles. It is a big one for Marvel and the X-Men as it will impact several series throughout the year.
