Stewart began his music career in 1962. However, he did not burst onto the scene until 1971 with his third album, Every Picture Tells a Story. The album topped the charts in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia. From then on, there was no stopping Stewart.
In the past few months, Rod has endured many health issues, leaving him with no other alternative but to cancel shows. Stewart’s recent battles with his health have affected the aging rocker in many ways on and off stage.
As previously reported, Rod Stewart’s issues were severe enough to spark significant concerns and cancellations. The singers’ friends noticed him struggling more and more on stage. They fear that he may reach a point where he could potentially embarrass himself on stage.

Rod Stewart Decides To Slow His Roll
Fans of Rod Stewart were heartbroken to learn that the singer will be making a significant life change. Earlier today, the legendary performer took to Instagram to release a statement to his 1.4 million followers.
He wrote, “This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire. I love what I do, and I do what I love. I’m fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 meters in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79.
“I’d like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next—smaller venues and more intimacy…But then again, I may not…” He closed out his post by signing The Ambiguous Sir Rod Stewart.
According to The Sun, Rod Stewart’s statement comes just months after the father of eight sent many fans into a panic, stating, “I’m aware my days are numbered, but I’ve got no fear.” The singer’s fans are relieved to find that he is feeling well and planning on taking it easy (or at least easier). They have flocked to this IG comment section to show their support.
One fan writes, “Sir Rod, you have given us so much joy over the years. We are grateful and honored to still have you releasing albums and touring. You do what is in your heart, and we fans will follow.” Another adds, “Do whatever suits you, Rod. Only you know your limits. You will always be the best.“

For now, Rod plans on taking life easy. He admits that he can no longer party as hard as he did in the 1970s and 80s, but he has no intention of giving it up. Stewart claims he’ll use the “final 15 years” of his life and party like the true rockstar he is well into his 90s.
