Sometimes, you have to wonder how people keep stealing stuff despite seeing others getting caught. If someone plans to steal from somewhere and sees a camera and still goes on with their plan, then they are just idiotic. A shady Georgia shopper wasn’t the smartest person out there after she was caught stealing. I wish she were even stealing something worth it, because guess what it was? Hair dye. The shop’s owner headed over to her while she was standing in front of the cashier. He asks her, “Can I have that back?” while pointing to her bag. She doesn’t need any more explanation because she knows what he meant. She takes out what she was trying to steal and starts saying that she was going to pay for it. Just like the owner said, she wasn’t going to do that.
She also looked guilty because she definitely knew what she was doing. The Georgia owner was nice enough to ask her to leave the store and never come back. He tells her that either she does this or he will call the police and they will watch the video of her stealing. She keeps trying to defend herself, which makes the cashier intervene and say that no one shops by hiding stuff in their bag. When the thief repeats that she wasn’t going to steal anything, the owner starts telling her that he caught her on camera hiding and being sneaky. This was enough to make her exit the store silently. In the caption, the owner also wrote, “The fatigue thing is real, I am tired as hell of this type of behavior. Next one I catch is going to jail plain and simple!”
People Reacting to the Shaddy Georgia Shopper
Since the Georgia shopper was a Black woman, a lot of comments weren’t so nice. While she was definitely wrong for trying to steal, that doesn’t mean that people are allowed to be racist. One example was someone saying, “Ghetto behavior…..shocker.” Another racist woman also said, “Always them” hinting at Black people. Surprisingly, some Black people started blaming their community too. “It’s always us,” one person wrote. Someone else said, “shameful it’s always us destroying something.” Very few tried to say not to bring race into it. “Let’s not make this about race. People of color tend to get caught more than others. Other nationalities steal just as much if not more and are rarely caught/exposed,” one TikTok user wrote. I have to agree that the woman being Black doesn’t mean that all Black people are thieves. It doesn’t work like that.
There were other kinds of comments that found it weird that the Georgia woman or anyone would want to steal from a beauty supply store. “Stealing from a beauty supply should never cross your mind,” someone wrote. One woman also said, “Baby im never stealing from the beauty supply store.” Others tried to defend small business as one comment read, “Gotta protect small businesses. These aren’t millionaires you are stealing from in these cases, it’s your community neighbors.” Another person wrote, “and people wonder why business are closing.” I just wonder why the girl thought it was wise to keep arguing and claiming that she wasn’t trying to steal. The owner was nice enough to let her go and she should have walked away immediately. Now her face is on the internet and she is also banned from the store.
