Whether you preferย World‘s dense open locales and sensational immersion orย Rise‘s incredibly tight and smooth combat, it’s not time to lay down your weapons yet. At The Game Awards 2023, Capcom has announced the long-awaited new entry to the monster-hunting seriesย Monster Hunter Wilds. If you’re familiar with the franchise, you’ll realize that although exceptionally cinematic with the duststorm and mount riding, the reveal trailer showed us very little of whatย Wildsย has in store for players eager to hunt.ย
Capcom Announces Monster Hunter Wilds for 2025 at The Game Awards 2023

As the series name implies, the Monster Hunter games have always made the striking and impressively designed monsters the spotlight of the experience. Monster Hunter Wilds will undoubtedly be no different, offering a variety of new beasties to track and take down, as well as bringing well-known icons back into the pack. Not to mention, we might see different variations of our favorite monsters.
Based on the teaser at The Game Awards 2023,ย Monster Hunter Wildsย does look to be set in a safari-esque desert locale with giant pangolin creatures and terrifying half-lion, half-rodent harry beasts. However, if you playedย Rise, you’ll recall traveling from volcanic caverns and snow-peaked cliffs to castle ruins and tropical beaches. In other words, we can only predict that there’s a lot more in store visually to see in the locationsย Monster Hunter Wildsย has to offer.
Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5,
