Sony’s Official Fightstick Gets a Release Date Along with Some New Marvel Tokon Footage

Sony did it right.

Sony has officially unveiled new gameplay for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and shared the first detailed look at its upcoming FlexStrike wireless PlayStation fight stick, just ahead of Evo 2025. The new Marvel Tokon gameplay shows cinematic stage transitions reminiscent of Guilty Gear Strive, including one sequence where Captain America sends Spider-Man flying through a taxi, as well as a Dust-style mechanic where all four team members combine for an airborne combo finisher.

The FlexStrike is Sonyโ€™s first in-house fight stick and is built with competitive play in mind. Set to launch in 2026, it works both wired and wirelessly using PlayStation Link and is compatible with PS5 and PC. The fight stick includes mechanical buttons and toolless swappable restrictor gates, square, circular, and octagonal, which can be stored inside dedicated compartments within the device. The mechanism of the joystick appears to be completely new, enabling the device’s thin design.

A standout design choice separates FlexStrike from other sticks: the action buttons are raised above the main control surface, clearly distinguishing the two halves and allowing more intuitive hand positioning, possibly better ergonomically. The housing itself features a grippy base, angled surfaces for wrist comfort, and a custom digital stick which, according to Sony, is built for longevity.

Sony states that the device supports simultaneous wireless audio via a PlayStation Link adapter, allowing players to use the FlexStrike and Pulse Elite or Pulse Explore headsets simultaneously without latency issues. The fight stick will also support dual connections on PS5, letting two players use FlexStrike units via a single adapter for local versus play. It will hopefully also get the multipoint connection features that the DualSense is getting in a future update.

Players will get a first in-person look at the FlexStrike and its carry case at Evo 2025โ€™s Fight Stick Museum and Arc System Works booth. Pricing and availability have not been confirmed at this time.
