A police officer from Clemson, South Carolina, has gone viral after showing a brash, young TikToker that he doesn’t need to resort to physical means to punish him. The TikToker in question started off the interaction by sticking his tongue out at the officer, effectively taunting him. However, the cop’s response was something unexpected, and it certainly left a mark as it roasted the TikToker in a humiliation that transcends generations:
The incident happened around August 23 or over the weekend at Clemson University, South Carolina. TikTok user and thrill-seeker Seth Adams, aka @notsethadams, was apparently out partying with his friends. Adams spotted the patrolling cop and decided to taunt him by sticking out his tongue with only a glass wall between him and the officer.
As you can see in the video, the cop responded to the gesture by walking closer and supposedly taking a picture of Adams’ mockery, only to turn his phone around and reveal that he instead Google-searched an image of a clown and showed it to Adams, alluding to how the TikToker was being a clown or a fool. This left Adams not only speechless but also bursting in gut-busting laughter at how clever the cop’s response was.
Most other cops probably would’ve just taken the evidence and tried to escalate based on how they normally act. However, the South Carolina cop in question had a savage sense of humor that put Seth Adams in place. Now that’s how you deal with the unruly young ‘uns. To be fair, though, the cop looked like a Millennial or Gen Z himself.
People Want More Cops Like Him
Naturally, people saw how the South Carolina cop handled the situation (with killer wit and humor) and want more of the same, and less of the usual power-tripping ones. Seth Adams himself has admitted defeat both in the video and in the comment section of the TikTok post. Many have also praised the police officer:
“this the kinda of cops we need,” claims one TikTok user
“I got arrested and beaten severely” jokes Seth Adams in response
“This is worse than going to jail š„š”
“When will the police brutality end”
“Give that man a promotion š”
Others were more amazed at how “human” the cop was and how well he related to the people around him. He knew very well that it was just a rowdy (albeit rude) attempt at a joke and decided to play in on it. There were some skeptical people in the thread, however, who stated that TikTok is trying to humanize cops, which is why the video went viral. Regardless, there’s no denying that the cop’s comeback was brutal.
“lol sometimes I forget cops are actual people who make jokes and like memes š”
“Cops when white:š„° Cops when black:š””
“Our generation are cops nowš”
