After the disastrous experiment at the SIRCAA lab, you must head to Quiet Hub to save Prof. Lodochka. The man is currently a captive to a group of Mercs trying to make the man talk. After successfully neutralizing all the enemies, you can speak with Prof. Lodochka. The man will tell you that you need to find the source of the signal deep within the Noontide’s base in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl‘s Just Like the Good Old Days quest.

Before you head to the Noontide’s base, you should go to the first floor and grab the High-Voltage Fuse. This device is placed on top of a crate of boxes inside the abandoned Trader’s shop in Quite. You must restore the ventilation system in Stalker 2‘s Just Like the Good Old Days quest so you won’t get assaulted by toxic fumes.

Once you enter the Noontide’s base, you must head underground to restore power. The area is empty, and you won’t find any friendly NPCs here. Here’s what you need to do in the Just Like the Good Old Days quest:

  1. Enter the base, turn to the left, and head down.
  2. Turn to the right and defeat the Bloodsucker.
  3. Enter the cell to your right to grab armor and weapons.
  4. Enter the cell to your left to progress the quest.
  5. Climb up the pipes using a stack of boxes.
  6. Jump to the other side and keep walking.
  7. Follow the passage and enter the sewage hole.
  8. In the next chamber, you can find the Circuit Breaker.

I’m unsure if this is scripted, but I encountered another Emission after I restored the power. Since you’re already underground, just wait in the area until the Emission stops. Once the weather returns to normal, you can head outside Noontide’s base.

You must head northeast to progress to the Just Like the Good Old Days quest in Stalker 2. Just keep walking until you reach the edge of the river, and you can find the entrance to a cave. Follow the passage until you reach a room filled with poisonous anomalies. You must carefully traverse this area until you can jump on the fallen pipe and get to the next room.

You can find a bag and a gun lying near the locked door. If you want to progress, you must pass through the hole on the western side. Jump down to the dirty sewage water and keep walking. The next chamber is filled with Psi-Radiation, so I recommend consuming Psi-Block pills to prevent damage. You can find the Emitter at the base of the wooden structure.

After this, you can return to Prof. Lodochka’s lab. This is an optional objective since you can just go straight to Scar. I did try to visit the man, but the door refused to open, so I ended up just giving the Emitter to Scar at his base.
