Deal wise, there are few platforms that will give gamers a better bang for their buck than Steam will, with new sales just about every weekend. In this new series for the site, I’ll be going over the best bargains that will take place each weekend on the video game service.

STYX: SHARDS OF DARKNESS – 40% Off

Steam

One of the more surprising sequels to find a release this year, as the first installment did well but not necessarily enough to warrant a sequel, Styx: Shards of Darkness is a challenging stealth game that once again puts you in the shoes of the wise ass goblin thief known as Styx. Alongside an interesting setting and lore, the stealth game features fun mechanics like cloaking and invisibility, all thanks to the weird potion like substance known as Amber. This deal is perfect for stealth aficionados, saving creeps $26.00, as it goes from $39.99 to $23.99 on Steam.

THE WITNESS – 50% Off

Steam

After the success of Braid, Jonathan Blow was able to hire his own larger production team to create his next project, a non-verbal communication 3D puzzle game. As a result of a lengthy development cycle and saturation in the market place, The Witness took people by surprise last year, landing multiple game of the year nods. Beautiful art and sound designed accompanied the game’s intricate, increasingly difficult puzzle mechanics, all of which would integrate into later puzzles while still providing distinct gameplay for each. At 50 percent off on Steam, originally $39.99 now $19.99, this deal will save you all the money you’ll spend on coffee attempting to stay up and finish just one last puzzle.

THE ESCAPIST SERIES – 75 % Off

Steam

A top-down strategy game, The Escapist series appeared on Steam Early Access in 2014 – with a full release one year later for PC and Console – and tasks players in the role of an inmate trying to escape prison. Like Michael Scofield, each prison break eventually lands you in an even more difficult one to escape next. Alongside interesting mechanics, like being able to name all of the prisoners, the series has a number of cool escape methods including inciting riots, via vents, roof escape, among others. The Steam deal, which also includes the standalone spin-off The Escapists: The Walking Dead, will save you $13.50 as it goes from $17.99 to $4.49 this weekend.

LIMBO – 80 % Off (DEAL OF THE WEEK)

Steam

Playdead Studios made a name for itself back in 2010 with it Xbox Live Arcade game Limbo, which told the story of a nameless boy on the edge of hell seeking his sister. Not only did the adventure have a unique, dark presentation and eerie tone, it also set the bar for many of the great puzzle platformers in today’s market, like Oxenfree. Originally 9.99 – which is still a steal, even considering the game is seven years old – this is the best deal of the week, coming in at only 1.99 cents, so scrounge up your couch cushion change and go by one of the best puzzle games in recent memory.

INSIDE – 40 % Off

Steam

Just when you thought Playdead was done, a mermaid succubus pulls you back into the depths, giving you another deal on one of their great puzzle platformers. The spiritual successor to Limbo, Inside again follows a mysterious young boy in an eerie setting, lacking any prior context other than your surroundings  – and trial and error – as a means of solving puzzles and avoiding enemies. With some of the most beautiful and precise level designs and puzzles, the second installment in the nonsequential series is on sale from its original price tag of $19.99 to a mere $11.99, so be sure to try it out.

These offers end Monday, June 12th at 1:00 PM EST.
