Since the game is quite sophisticated, you will need to figure out all aspects of farming.

Working on a farm is a complex activity, and you will need to perform a number of actions, from planting the crops to growing and selling them. Let’s not waste any time and take a look at all the steps you need to take.

Tillage

When you start tilling your field, the main tool at this stage will be the hoe. Don’t worry, you won’t need to buy it like most other tools, as it will be available to you from the very beginning when you arrive at the farm. It’s a nice bonus from Takakura, who will also give you a Scythe and Watering Can. When you’re ready, just walk up to the field and start working. Initially, you will only be able to till one square of soil, and it will take some energy from you for each action you perform. In the future, you will be able to upgrade it for currency and will be able to till much more territory at a time.

How to Plant Seeds and Where to Get Them

When the field is cultivated, you can plant seeds there. It is very important to correctly determine the field where the crop will grow, because, for example, it is not recommended to grow crops on a field with poor soil quality, but rather to plant fruit trees there. On fields of higher soil quality, you can plant crops. Also, keep in mind that there are certain types of seeds that will germinate only on fields with the highest quality soil, so be observant.

There are three ways to get seeds:

  • Harvest them in the Seed Maker: With this method, you can turn one seed into two by placing it in the Seed Maker.
  • You can also come to Vesta’s farm and buy seeds by talking to her, Cecilia, or Matthew when they are in the field, in a storage room, or on the farm.
  • Also, starting in the second year, you can create hybrid seeds with Vinnie, who is located in the Takakura house.

Just like in Stardew Valley, you can get a lot of different types of crops, here’s the whole list:

Standard Crops

  • Watermelon
  • Turnip
  • Tomato
  • Sweet Potato
  • Strawberry
  • Potato
  • Melon

Hybrid Crops

  • Turnmelon
  • Turnmato
  • Turnblue
  • Turnberry
  • Tocarro
  • Sweeturn
  • Sweetoma
  • Sweetmel

  • Greentoma
  • Carroturn
  • Carromel
  • Carroblue
  • Carberry
  • Camelo
  • Bluetato
  • Bluemato
  • Berrytoma
  • Berrymelo

Once you have cultivated the field and stocked up on the right seeds, you can plant them. To do this, simply walk up to the field and use the interaction button when you see the blue square. You can also plant a 3×3 area at once by charging your seed throw, but only if all the seeds are of the same type.

Do not forget that there are crops that grow only in certain seasons of the year, and you need to be careful not to miss them, because then the crops will not germinate.

How to Fertilize and Water Crops

Fertilizing and watering are very important parts of cultivation because you can improve the grade of your crop to sell it for even more money. In general, there are three crop grades: S, A, and B. The price of your crop will increase by 30g for each grade. For example, the price of carrots according to different grading is the following:

  • B-Grade – 135g
  • A-Grade – 165g
  • S-Grade – 195g

That is why we recommend buying fertilizers and using them twice a day for your crops, and not forgetting to water them. You can buy fertilizer from Vesta’s Farm for just 20g. The mechanics of fertilizing and watering are identical as in all previous cases. Just go to the desired crop and interact with it.

Also, do not forget to check the growth cycle of the crop in time so that they do not wilt. If you approach a plant and see that it is highlighted with a yellow square, it means that it is ready for harvest.
