Trips with friends are supposed to be fun. You usually plan to enjoy your time and relax without having any serious thoughts. An Arizona man was left surprised after a trip planned with his friends suddenly became serious. He shared how he woke up to find that he had received an NDA from one of his friends. Apparently, their friend wants them to sign it before they go on a trip to Puerto Rico. The NDA was sent to the entire friend group, and it’s definitely a serious one. Why would they need to sign legal papers to go on a trip? I thought this only happened in sensitive situations. The guy wasn’t sure if he should sign or not. He also wondered why they would need to sign it while they are simply going on a trip.
Since the Arizona guy isn’t exactly a lawyer, he decided to consult AI. AI’s response after seeing the contract was that it couldn’t give him any legal advice. He even shared a screenshot of the NDA. In it, you can read the following: “All parties agree to the following terms in anticipation of a trip to Puerto Rico, including, but not limited to: attending the Bad Bunny concert, excursions within Puerto Rico, indulging in alcoholic beverages, dancing questionably, oversharing emotionally, and engaging in unsanctioned activities.” Now I really want to know what they plan on doing. At least they would share their emotions which is kind of wholesome.
People Reacting to the Arizona Friend Group’s NDA
Turns out that the Arizona traveler wasn’t the only one stunned by the NDA thing. A lot of people also found it weird plus funny too. Since no reason on why they are asked to sign an NDA was shared, people started guessing why they might need it. “Somebody’s cheating on that trip,” one woman wrote. This claim might be correct since texts were classified as confidential information in the contract. There was also a kind of serious comment that read, “he’s getting married to someone wealthy or he’s committing a crime.. FYI an NDA is not valid if a crime is committed the law supersedes an NDA.” Let’s hope that no crime is going to be committed. Also, if he was going to marry someone couldn’t he just do it in Arizona instead of all this effort?
Several people advised the guy not to sign the NDA even if it was sent by his friend. This is certainly good legal advice. Who knows what might happen? On the other hand, there were some comments that believed that they need the NDA since the friend already shared it on TikTok. “You posting the NDA is the reason he needs one from you,” one person wrote. Someone else said, “Bro you already broke the NDA.” I mean the guy needed to ask for advice on whether he should sign it or not. His friend who sent the NDA also left a comment encouraging him to sign it. “Just sign the contract twin,” he wrote. I guess they will definitely have fun. Probably too much fun.
