Funded within 24 hours

Within 24 hours of its release on Kickstarter, Sword of the Necromancer had already met its initial goal of โ‚ฌ15,000 ($16,400 USD). The campaign launched by developer Grimorio of Games on April 8th and has been met with an unexpected and unprecedented amount of support. Reaching their initial Kickstarter goal with 27 days still remaining. Thus securing their vision for both a physical and digital release with the current views set towards further stretch goals.

Sword of the Necromancer is currently the second game to be developed by the Barcelona based indie game developer. Featuring top-down combat, an RPG storyline, and a dungeon crawler experience. Paying homage to the classic top-down greats of the โ€™90s is a world fully crafted in traditional pixel art with frame by frame animation.

โ€œSword of the Necromancer is inspired by Rogue-like games like Enter the Gungeon, 2D Zelda games like A Link to the Past and monster-catching mechanics like those from Azure Dreams. The aim is to create a fluid battle system, with head-to-head combat as its main focus while leaning on monster summons for special actions and attacks.โ€

What would you do to bring back the one you love?

Haunted by the loss of the priestess Koko and motivated by hopes of her resurrection, Tama a former rouge will risk it all as she discovers the truth behind the legend of the Necromancerโ€™s Crypt. Slay the enemies in your path while resurrecting the dead to fight by your side as you descended into the recesses of the dungeon.

Braving the unknown and in turn discovering more about yourself and the one you fight for. Fight through hordes of enemies with 15 different weapons, levels and upgrades, and even bring in a friend for help with local co-op.

Sword of the Necromancer

Sword of the Necromancer is set to have a digital release on all current platforms. With physical releases currently planned on the Ps4 and Switch. While currently funded, the gameโ€™s performance on Kickstarter will determine the inclusion of stretch goals and other hidden planned content. Some of which initially had to be left out due to keeping the game in a โ€œmanageable scopeโ€. With development still ongoing the release date remains undisclosed, however, it is scheduled for a 2020 release so hopefully, we will see it on the shelves sometime in the holiday season.
