“I want to wad you up into my life” — The newest game in the Katamari series, Tap My Katamari, is the most recent iteration in the long Katamari series since the Vita’s Katamari game in 2012. Tap My Katamari will be released for both IOS and Android mobile platforms sometime “soon.” Check out the delightfully, and obligatory, strange trailer down below.

As you can see from the footage above, Tap My Katamari isn’t going for the traditional 3-D roll everything up into a massive ball and laugh with joy as you do it kind of game. Instead, we can see that the ball is rolling from left to right on a 2-D plane which would be a slightly more disappointing choice for a Katamari game.

Katamari Damacy originally launched in 2004 for the PlayStation 2 with series creator Keita Takahashi. We Love Katamari was the direct sequel to Katamari Damacy  and still had Keita Takahashi at the helm. Since then the Katamari games have lost Takahashi but have continued to deliver weird and wonderful games with a simple, endearing premise. Let’s hope that Tap My Katamari isn’t just an abusive “clicker” game. But hey, A Katamari game is still a Katamari game… right?
