The conflict between Israel and Palestine has long sparked heated debates in the United States. Across the country, people protest against the war or openly advocate for one of the two nations currently in conflict. Some individuals even fly the Palestinian flag to publicly show their support. However, on a sunny day in Fort Worth, Texas, a man unexpectedly faced harassment from a group of TCU students while simply carrying a Palestinian flag.
In a video he captured, the man can be seen running along the sidewalk, clutching the flag. As he passed a group of students sitting on the lawn, instead of ignoring him, they decided to confront and harass the flag-bearing man. One of the TCU students began threateningly activating a taser, the loud crackling noises echoing even from a distance. They yelled at the man to leave, saying, “Don’t come back here; nobody wants you here.” They mocked him further, calling him “sweaty fatty” and laughing at the Fort Worth man in a derisive manner.
When the man briefly stopped running, the students escalated their intimidation by starting a threatening countdown. The man calmly responded, asking, “What’s your stance on Palestine, sir?” Instead of engaging constructively, the TCU students resorted to name-calling, using words like “p**sy” and even the n-word. The student holding the taser then chased after the man, but thankfully did not actually attempt to use it.
Rather than showing fear, the flag-bearing man taunted them, noting that six of them were confronting only one of him. The TCU students continued to mock him and crackle the taser, but the man remained composed and even stated that he would return the next day.
The video quickly circulated online, sparking outrage among viewers. One user wrote, “LMAO! Asshole charges someone with a taser and immediately backs down when Flag Guy doesn’t even flinch. These guys are such pathetic cowards, it’s insane.” Many called for accountability, hoping the TCU students in the video would face consequences for their actions. Others, however, expressed skepticism that any punishment would occur.
“This kid is definitely a product of nepotism. His dad’s company won’t care. The only way his life would be impacted is if he got arrested for racially motivated attacks. But then again, MAGA might step in and donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to support his racist behavior,” one user commented. Another Redditor said, “MAGA Christians love genocide. That d-bag who was threatening to tase him needs to be charged with disorderly conduct/terroristic threats. It’s illegal to threaten to tase someone on public property in Texas.”
