Similar to what we have in other games like Mortal Kombat,ย Tekken 8ย also features a new move called the Power Crush. This is an armored attack inย Tekken 8, allowing players to hit the target no matter if they’re performing combos or not. This will result in a more intense battle, allowing the players to stop the opponent’s combo with their Power Crush.

You can do armored attacks, also known as Power Crush, by performing certain attacks that are unique for every character in Tekken 8. Each fighter in Tekken 8 has more than just one Power Crush, which you can check in the move list. These moves are marked with the logo you see in the image below:

Power Crush is a new move that’s been added in Tekken 8. Once performed, your character enters a sequence of throwing one punch/kick that can not be punished by simple attacks. This move is very useful when you see your opponent performing a set of combos and want to stop them.

The damage you deal with the Power Crush moves is not so tanky. But if the enemy hits you while performing an armored attack, you’ll hit them back with more power every time.

You can easily block Power Crush/armored attack moves like normal attacks in Tekken 8. All you need to do is stand still or move backwards. However, you can turn this block into punishment by grabbing your opponent. If you’re being attacked by a Power Crush move, just simply grab your opponent by one of your grapple moves, and they’re done.

Remember that you need to act so quickly if you want to grab your opponent before they perform their Power Crush move. Some characters have lighting-fast armored attacks like Alisa Bosconovitch. So just blocking them is much better if you’re at a distance.

Summary:

  • You can do an infinite amount of Power Crush attacks every match.
  • You’ll be damaged if the enemy attacks before your armored move, but you’ll still get the last hit.
  • Every character has a different and unique Power Crush move in Tekken 8.
  • Armored Attacks are useful in Tekken 8, but the opponent can still block them.
  • Active Heat won’t make any difference to armored attacks, but it adds new ones to perform for most characters.
  • Your Heat activation move is considered an armored attack in Tekken 8.
  • You can block armored moves normally, or stop it by grabbing your opponent.

Tekken 8 is currently available to play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
