Update 1.33 has arrived for Terraria, and here are the patch notes regarding the changes that arrived with this patch. It’s been a while since we don’t see updates for Terraria, which is pretty sad. The game received its latest significant patch a few years ago, and the developers started focusing on the smaller changes. The brand-new patch still doesn’t bring significant changes, but it’s improving the technical stability of the console and mobile versions. Here are the patch notes for Terraria update 1.333.
Terraria Update 1.33 Patch Notes
- Improved the way backgrounds zoom in and out
- Fixed an issue where the game would crash after creating two small worlds consecutively
- Fixed an issue where the Aether Monolith was not giving off light
- Fixed an issue where the seaweed in ocean caverns would not be visible
The developers also have a few notes that are worth mentioning:
- Now that the development work on the technical updates is complete, the team at DR has shifted gears towards bringing 1.4.5 over to Console and Mobile platforms! The technical update (1.4.4.9.2) should be rolling out to everyone soon, so keep an eye out for that and let us know if you encounter any issues whatsoever.
- With that said, wish us luck on the Terraria 1.4.5 path… as with Labor of Love, our goal is to launch simultaneously alongside PC – hopefully with a GLOBAL simultaneous launch this time around. We may have some other surprises in store, but it is much too soon to know if those will work out, so we will just leave you wondering for now.

Today’s patch is more likely an optimization for mobile devices. There are still a few changes that could make a difference, but they’re not big as you could notice in the game. The developer notes also look exciting; Terraria is a game available on various platforms, so the fanbase eagerly expects the crossplay feature.
