If you want to survive the hordes of undead, you’ll need the Best Blueprints in Dead Island 2. Luckily, crafting weapon upgrades and modifications is easy with the proper blueprints. But where to find each one? This is where our guide comes in. We’ve scoured the game to find the best blueprints to upgrade your arsenal and increase your chances of survival.

Weapon Mods

Melee weapons and firearms each have blueprints, and you don’t want to mix up a shotgun blueprint with a katana one. That could get messy.

  • Mutilator group: These babies pack a punch by increasing physical damage and weakening your enemies.
  • Impactor group: Gives your weapons a severe oomph of the physical damage department. And not only that, but they also stun zombies on impact, leaving them more vulnerable to getting launched into the air.
  • Punctuator group: These blueprints are about bleed damage. One hit from these bad boys, and zombies will start losing health like a leaky faucet.
  • Electrocution group: These blueprints are shockingly good, letting you zap your enemies with electricity. Affected zombies are temporarily stunned, making them easy targets for a follow-up attack.

Where To Find Weapon Mods in Dead Island 2

Of course, acquiring the best blueprints in Dead Island 2 isn’t just about leveling up or completing quests (although those are great ways to get your hands on some). The best place to find them is a crafting station.

Dead Island 2 has two types of perks: blue and black. The blue perks are standard, but if you want to go to the dark side, you’ll need zombie parts, not just any parts. We’re talking limbs, hearts, spines, the whole shebang. It’s like playing a twisted game of “Operation” with the undead, but it’s necessary to get the best shots of Dead Island 2.

  • Damaging: This perk amplifies your damage.

Location: Reward for reaching Level 15.

  • Bloodthirsty: With Bloodthirsty, every zombie you kill gives you a boost of damage and fury.

Location: Head to Beverly Hills and buy this perk from the merchant Francesca.

  • Do or Die: This perk boosts your stamina when you’re about to die, giving you the strength to make one last stand.

Location: Find it on the workbench loot of the Hollywood Boulevard clinic hideout.

  • Hazardous: This perk as it causes an explosive reaction when attacking those with adverse status ailments.

Location: You can get it as a workbench loot in the western room of the subway tunnels.

  • Slaughter: With Slaughter, you can inflict more limb damage and increase your weapon’s durability.

Location: Find it on the workbench loot of Sound Stage 3 at Monarch Studios.

  • Empowering: Empowering amplifies the damage of your critical hits and heavy attacks.

Location: Get it on the workbench loot of the hydroelectric power plant control room in Beverly Hills.

  • Leech: Leech gives you a chance to heal after every hit you land on a zombie.

Location: Reward for completing a blueprint challenge that involves taking down zombies with melee weapons.

  • Shockwave: With Shockwave, you can make every zombie takedown a shockwave-inducing explosion.

Location: Reward for completing a blueprint challenge that involves knocking down zombies.

  • Static Charge: Static Charge generates more electrical discharges from electrocuted zombies and can even create a shocking explosion that will leave your zombie foes numb and trembling.

Location: Reward for completing a blueprint challenge that involves electrocuting zombies.

  • High-Caliber: High-Caliber increases the damage and force of your gun while sacrificing accuracy and mag size.

Location: Purchase it from the merchant Rodriguez at Venice Beach.

  • Precision shots: If your shots are on target several times in a row, you will get a damage increase.

Location: Reward for completing the Diaries of the Dead side quest.

Consumables

  • Blueprint Ammo: Craft ammo is generally only recommended if you’ve hit the resource cap or are desperate.

Location: Can be purchased from merchants and scattered throughout the game world, particularly after accessing firearms in Beverly Hills.

  • Blueprint Medkits: As for med kits, you can obtain the blueprint for free early on in the game.

Location: They are commonly found as loot and relatively inexpensive to purchase, so only consider crafting them if you find yourself without any while far away from a hideout.

Dead Island 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X/S.
