Once you unlock the farm, it’s time to learn the best crops in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Are you planning to leave Link’s diet to the ingredients in stores and the wild? Why not rebel against the system and plant your crops on a farm of your own? That way, you will ensure you have top-notch quality meals and that your inventory is always full of fresh ingredients.

You’ll need a farm to start planting the best crops in Tears of the Kingdom. To unlock the farm in the game, you must complete a quest chain in Hateno Village. First, locate the Hateno Village School, conveniently placed to the left of the village entrance. Then, find the teacher at the school during the daytime and get ready for the “Teach Me a Lesson” chain quest from a guy named Symin.

This quest is a two-parter. The first part happens right in the middle of a class. Then, once you’ve completed the first part, brace yourself for the second part, which you’ll get as a reward. Both involve bringing a picture or a meal to educate children.

After completing the quest, you’ll be blessed with a tiny farming plot outside the school. This is the perfect chance to unleash your green thumb.

Best Crops To Farm in Tears of the Kingdom

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can grow crops outside the school in the small farming plot. Before diving headfirst into a farming frenzy, you must complete the “Uma’s Garden” side quest. Uma knows all the ins and outs of crop growing and will be your trusty guide.

  • Endura Carrots: Endura Carrots are one of the best crops to grow, and you won’t find them daily in the wild. Instead, you can use them to whip up a dish that gives Link extra hearts.
  • Hylian Rice: Hylian Rice is another rare crop that can be grown on a farm. Harvest this rice as the main ingredient for dishes that restore health.
  • Hylian Tomatoes: Hylian Tomatoes are a common one, but still one of the best crops to farm in Tears of the Kingdom. Use them to create dishes that restore health.
  • Wildberries: Wildberries are another common crop grown on the farm. They might not be fancy, but they can restore health.
  • Pumpkins: With pumpkins, you can cook up dishes that restore health.
  • Wheat: Wheat is a common crop grown on the farm. Use it wisely, and you’ll have dishes that restore health with high effectiveness.

Remember that planting the best crops in Tears of the Kingdom takes time. It takes around two in-game days for them to grow fully. For reference, two in-game days translate to a staggering 48 minutes of real-world time.
