During Sword of Convallaria‘s launch patch, we met Gloria, one of the best Watchers in the game and someone you should build as fast as possible if you have her. Able to buff allies at the start of each fight and do a considerable amount of damage, she can rally the troops as well as deliver some killing blows to enemy units. If you want to know which are the best skills and items for her, we’ve prepared a quick support build for Gloria in Sword of Convallaria.
Best Skills
Believe it or not, Sword of Convallaria is quite flexible when it comes to character builds, and that also applies to Gloria. While other games stick some preset skills for units, here, you can actually pick different ones and experiment. However, since “respeccing” costs a lot, it is better to pick the following skills right from the start:

| Lance of Longinus (Rank 3) | Deals 80% AoE DMG to all enemies within 2 tiles around the target. Summons a Flag at the cost of Flag Waving aura. If there is no Flag Waving aura on the character, the skill switches to Longinus – Flag Waving. |
| Counterattack (Rank 5) | When hit by an active attack from the front or side, strike the attacker back, dealing 70% damage if the attacker is within range. The effect can trigger once per round. |
| Vow of Justice (Rank 7) | For all “The Union” allies in battle, ATK increases by 10%, and DEF increases by 20%. When performing an active attack, DMG increases by 12%. When being struck back, DMG decreases by 24%. |
| Lance of Justice (Rank 9) | Gloria deals 70% Physical DMG to all enemies within 1 tile of the target. If there is no Flag Waving aura on Gloria, the skill switches to Sword of Justice. |
| Knight’s Glory (Rank 11) | Grants the target ATK II (buff) for 2 turns. When the targets are from “The Unio,” the character gains an additional Physical Shield equal to 20% of their HP. |
The gist of this build for Gloria in Sword of Convallaria is making her a buffer while also making her a sub-DPS of sorts. The key skills of this build are Lance of Longinus and Lance of Justice. The former does a lot of AoE damage while also buffing units around the flag. The latter does more damage and switches to an even better DPS skill if there’s no aura around the area. You need to learn where and how to position flags and wait for some to spawn or despawn to trigger different skills. Also, we went with the faction route. The more “Union” characters you have, the stronger the buffs will be. However, you can replace Vow of Justice with the other Rank 7 skill to strengthen Gloria’s counterattacks.
Weapon & Gear
Lastly, you’ll need specific gear to make Gloria shine even more. Sadly, most of the weapons and gear we’ll recommend are of the Legendary quality. However, there are ways to get them in the game without spending a dime.

As you can see, we are aiming to make Gloria an AoE DPS with these weapons, trinkets, and tarot whispers. In a way, Gloria won’t be doing a lot of single-target damage, and ideally, she shouldn’t. It is better to send her to the front, start casting skills, buff teammates, and hold the lines against any enemy that approaches.
Ultimately, you can swap your unlocked skills whenever you want. While you could aim for a single-target DPS build or a full buffer, it is better to take her as a bit of both. Also, she’s an excellent AoE DPS, so making her stick to one enemy only isn’t great. But if you ever have second thoughts, remember you can experiment with a different build until you find the right one for you.
