Bethesda has given people the tools to recreate their favorite ships from video games, movies, and TV. One Starfield fan, Reddit user VantaGenesis, shared by content creator Rebs Gaming, recreated the Halo frigate Forward Unto Dawn. It is not the exact size of the original due to the 100m limit, but the 1:4 remake is quite impressive (seen below). With the crossover between Bethesda’s RPG and Xbox’s iconic shooter, this is the ultimate NASApunk tribute to Xbox without using mods.

Halo and Starfield Unite With Recreation of Frigate Forward Unto Dawn

The Reddit user had some insight into how they managed to recreate this iconic ship from Halo in Starfield. Shipbuilding is incredibly expensive, making the bulk of what you can do toward the endgame. When one user asked about getting enough credits to afford a masterpiece like this, VantaGenesis lifted the curtain. It came down to stealing a ship to use as the foundation. From what the user built, they used hab and structural modules for the “majority” of the ship. For example, they pointed out that “the entire nose half of the ship is composed of some cheap Stroud structural hulls with no interior.”

The most challenging part of remaking the Halo frigate, Forward Unto Dawn in Starfield, was less about money and more about what the game requires for a functioning ship. When building, the game will flag any errors that make it unflyable. VantaGenesis wrote, “the hardest part was getting all of the required systems into the ship while still keeping the classic Halo frigate look.” The results show that VantaGensesis nailed it despite any aesthetic or size limitations from the shipbuilding feature.

Whether remaking a ship model in real life or recreating beloved ships from other IP, people have been all in on Starfield. All over social media, people have been sharing their creations. We have seen everything from Halo‘s Pelican, the X-wing from Star Wars, Mass Effect‘s Normandy, and Batman’s Batwing. The game has been in early access since August 31 or September 1 for some countries. We can only imagine what else people will come up with when it is released worldwide.

Ships can be purchased or stolen to be rebuilt from the ground up. If you want to make your own Halo frigate Forward Unto Dawn in Starfield, go to a ship service technician and start tearing apart and rebuilding your galactic vessel.

You can build your own ship in Starfield on Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6 or upgrade your edition to play early. It is also available for Game Pass subscribers.
