The Outlast Trials Adds an Incredibly Stressful Limited-Time Event for All You Masochists Out There

The Outlast Trials just announced one of its scariest and probably most stressful limited-time events: Countdown, which adds a ticking time bomb challenge. If you thought running around these scary halls was scary enough, wait until you see the explosive device strapped to your chest. During the event, players will have to search for time extenders or face a fiery explosion that will eliminate the whole team. So, if you’re looking for a bigger challenge in The Outlast Trials for whatever masochistic reasons, you got it.

The Outlast Trials: Countdown Runs from September 10 to October 8

The Countdown event in The Outlast Trials and its bomb challenge will be a two-parter. The first part will run from September 10 to September 24 and will include new MK-Challenges, including Empty the Vault and Poison the Cattle, both of which will appear in the Escalation Therapy map pool.

During both parts, players can check the new catalog that will only be available during the event. By completing Trials and MK-Challenges, everyone can earn Event Tokens, which they can use to buy limited-time cosmetics. Also, it is important to remember that once the event is over, the Event Tokens will disappear, so use them while they’re hot.

Beyond that, The Outlast Trials has also added many fixes and balancing tweaks alongside the Countdown event. New animations and improved Amp abilities are some of the few improvements everyone will see during the update. So, if you’ve been away from this wild co-op game, now’s the perfect time to return. Furthermore, with the spooky season upon us, this is one game everyone should try at least once. Just remember, it is not for the faint of heart.
