I will not spoil what happened in Version 3.4, but as the younglings say: if you know, you know. The Amphoreus saga has reached its climax and presented us with the truth behind this world and its people. And now, it is time for the Trailblazer to return to Ancient Okhema to gather some allies and hopefully stop the never-ending cycle in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5. On top of that, we have a couple of events coming and some long-awaited reruns, which promise to make the kickstart of the second half of Amphoreus one of the best updates yet.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5 Launches on August 13

First things first: the story. Version 3.4 finally gave us a glimpse at what’s going on with Amphoreus and what its true purpose is. I will not spoil it here because it is a jaw-dropping revelation, but if you haven’t played the latest quest, you should do so as soon as possible because it will explain why we are going back in time, exactly 1,000 years in the past, to Ancient Okhema to meet two new characters, who, you gussed it, will be playable.

For the first phase, we’ll get Hysilens, a Physical 5-star character who follows the Path of Nihility. Kafka will join the commander of the holy city’s knights for a rerun, and since both of them synergize perfectly, you should consider pulling for the two of them if you have the currency.

Imperator Cerydra, a 5-star Wind character who follows the Path of Harmony, will join us for the second phase, alongside the rerun of Silver Wolf. Cerydra excels at buffing characters and can even replicate some skill effects, making her a must-have for every team. If you’re on the fence about who to pull for, Cerydra should be at the top of your list.

Beyond the new characters and story, players can also expect one highly-requested QoL feature, which enables a voice toggle feature for collaboration characters. This will affect the character’s interaction voice lines, as well as those in combat.

When it comes to events, we have two coming in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5. The first one will make us manage a restaurant in the “Chrysos Maze Grand Restaurant” event. You’ll be able to work alongside some Chrysos Heirs to restore the venue while also serving dishes to customers. I wouldn’t blame you if you get some Cheesetopia flashbacks, but that’s a different universe and game.

Other than that, we’ll also return to work as bartenders in the “Old Brews & New Friends” event. The Trailblazers will work in the Dreamjolt Hostelry once more to serve drinks to some familiar faces. If you missed the first event, now’s a perfect time to get mixing.

Overall, Version 3.5 is looking great, and with it right around the corner, it is time to wrap everything up from Version 3.4 in Honkai: Star Rail. While the collaboration characters and some events will remain there for another version, there are a few limited-time rewards, so make sure to get all the goodies before August 13.
