Explore a Different Earth in The Uncertain

The world has changed. Robots have replaced the humans, and it’s up to one girl to discover the truth behind this mystery in The Uncertain: Light at the End.

In this new interactive sci-fi adventure from independent developer New Game Order, we follow the story of a survivor named Emily. As the Earth’s machines pursue her, she must traverse a post-apocalyptic world as a lone wanderer. Through exploration and interaction in The Uncertain‘s lore, you’ll continue to learn about the strange abandoned planet with details and puzzles to be discovered and solved.

The Uncertain: Light at the End takes place within the same universe and The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day. In the previous installment, players took control of inventor robot RT-217NP, who becomes involved with survivors of the human race. Both titles were developed by New Game Order (formerly known as ComonGames), with the second game being published by newly-formed label META Publishing.

A reveal teaser presents the deserted environments of Earth with grass growing over human-made structures and sauntering machines. The protagonist’s narration is heard throughout, ending with an encounter with a robot before the screen cuts to the title.

I won’t back down, even though this chapter’s finished.”

The Uncertain: Light at the End is a third-person science-fiction journey through mystery and discovery. The game will be launching for PC this October 8 for Steam and GOG for $14.99. There’s a 15% discount at the game’s launch and an additional 15% for those own The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day. There’s currently a demo on the Steam page, as well as a developer Livestream in the Digital Dragons Indie Showcase.

Uncertain

The Uncertain: Light at the End will also be arriving next year for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
