Marvel has announced four X-Men one-shots will bring four mutants into the upcoming Blood Hunt event. The mutants Jubilee, Magik, Psylocke, and Wolverine (Laura Kinney) are joining the war against the vampires. These will be four standalone stories set within the events of Jad MacKay and Pepe Larraz’s Blood Hunt. In X-Men: Blood Hunt, each of the four mutants will put their souls on the line as they combat against the eternal night. Plus, it will give fans a look at what becomes of these mutants in the wake of the Fall of the House of X.

Marvel’s Blood Hunt event is hitting during a tumultuous time for the X-Men. After the Fall of Krakoa, mutants are scattered across the Earth. This means that as vampires descend upon the world in an eternal night, the X-Men cannot present a united front against them. As such, four lone X-Men will put their souls on the line to save the world in these four solo adventures.

The four X-Men: Blood Hunt one-shots will share new insight into the sudden vampire invasion. It will also put readers into the headspace of the mutants at the end of a big loss. For Jubilee, her past as a vampire is coming back to haunt her, and even her firework powers can’t get her out of this one. Meanwhile, Magik heads back home to Russia to do some soul-searching when an undead army swarms her homeland. Then, Psylocke is back in Japan with her new lover, Greycrow. As she is about to enjoy some rest, the bloodsuckers descend, bringing with them a new villain. Finally, Laura Kinney’s Wolverine is on her bloodiest rescue mission yet as she tears through vampire hoards. However, an unlikely ally may make her question all she knows.
