TMNT Shredder's Revenge How To Play With Friends
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

WhileĀ TMNT: Shredder’s RevengeĀ can be completed solo, there is no doubt that the arcade experience of this retro beat ’em up is superior when playing with friends. The crisp pixel artwork, fast-paced combat, and cheesy world-building have been combined intoĀ Shredder’s RevengeĀ as a nostalgic throwback to the golden days of couch co-op gameplay during the period when online interaction was less accessible. Therefore, to get immersed in theĀ complete experienceĀ of TMNT: Shredder’s RevengeĀ that has to offer, using the game’s multiplayer features to play with friends both online and offline is undoubtedly an activity worth a recommendation.

Playing Multiplayer with Friends in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge

TMNT: Shredder’s RevengeĀ allows players to playĀ with their friends in a lobby with separate devices or in an offline lobby on the same system. Unfortunately, there’s no way to combine the two without a third-party service such as Parsec. To set up a multiplayer lobby inĀ TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, select “Party Up!” on the main menu’s bottom left.

TMNT: Shredder’s RevengeĀ is primarily available via four platforms: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Each platform must use the “Party Up!” option mentioned above to play offline in a local lobby, but each system’s online co-op feature is different. Up to six players can play multiplayer for every system, except for PlayStation, which is limited to four. Accordingly, those hosting the local co-op lobby will need to provide or have their friends bring controllers to connect to the single device that is being used to runĀ TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. Naturally, PC is the most flexible of the four since it is potentially compatible with every console controller.Ā

To playĀ TMNT: Shredder’s RevengeĀ onlineĀ with friends on PC, players will need to invite their Steam friends into the lobby. If they are usingĀ Game Pass’s PC version ofĀ TMNT, they will need to add friends from their Xbox account. Since Game Pass is available on both Xbox and PC, these two platforms can perform crossplay co-op as long as both parties are subscribed. Those on Xbox who do not use Game Pass will need an Xbox Live Gold account to playĀ Shredder’s RevengeĀ online with other players. As for PlayStation users, they will need PS Plus to do online co-op inĀ TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. Similarly, a Nintendo Switch Online membership is mandatory to playĀ TMNTĀ online on the Nintendo Switch.Ā

TMNT: Shredder’s RevengeĀ is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
