Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in MCU recently commented on his exit from MCU. But Amy Pascal, the series producer says he will stay for another trilogy.
Speaking to Fandango for promotingย Spider-Man: No Way Home, Pascal said Tom Holland is not done yet with the Spider-Man role and he will stay in MCU. Since No Way Home is the last installment of the Spider-Man trilogy, the future of Tom Holland as Spider-Man was in doubt. But according to Pascal, Holland will play the role of Spider-Man after theย No Way Home.
โThis is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel โ [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,โ said Pascal. โWe are getting ready to make the next โSpider-Manโ movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. Weโre thinking of this as three films, and now weโre going to go on to the next three. This is not the last of our MCU moviesโฆYes, Marvel and Sony are going to keep going together as partners.โ
The question of the next Spider-Man aroused when Holland told GQ he thinks about how to end his role as a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. โMaybe it is time for me to move on. Maybe whatโs best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well because he is an important part of my life. If Iโm playing Spider-Man after Iโm 30, Iโve done something wrong.โ
โSpider-Man is always very special and different from everything else, but I think the beautiful thing is you had two big corporations that decided to work together for the good of the story and the character, and I donโt think thatโs always the spirit that you see. Yeah, working together and helping each other make things be better is a good model.โ Pascal said, looking forward to the new agreement with Sony and MCU.
