The world of television is constantly busy, with new shows coming out almost faster than you can watch them. It can be hard to keep track of what’s releasing when, especially during the summer, when blazing temperatures mean you’re spending more time inside and in front of your TV. If you’re all caught up on your streaming watchlists, or you’ve got a mission to finish all of your favorite shows before July is over, then we’ve compiled a list of every TV show coming to broadcasts or streaming that you should be looking out for in August 2023.

Reservation Dogs: Season 3 (August 2nd)

One of Hulu’s most popular series to date, FX’s Reservation Dogs is a coming-of-age story that follows the lives of Elona, Bear, Cheese, and Willie Jack, four teens growing up on a Native American reservation in Oklahoma. The show’s two prior seasons follow the foursome both on and off the reservation, as they struggle to fulfill their close friend’s dying wish to see California. The two-episode third season of Reservation Dogs was recently announced to be the TV show’s finale, and it will be released to Hulu on August 2nd.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (August 4th)

Based on the 2018 bestselling novel by Holly Ringland, the Amazon Original series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart tells the story of a young girl who tragically loses her parents and grows up while discovering deep-held family secrets on her grandmother’s flower farm. Starring Alien’s Sigourney Weaver and Alycia Debnam-Carey as nine-year-old Alice Hart, three episodes of this seven-episode limited TV series will be available on Amazon Prime Video on August 4th.

Only Murders in the Building: Season 3 (August 8th)

Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short return with season 3 of Only Murders in the Building. Season 3 of the Hulu series will see the highly anticipated introduction of Paul Rudd as the series’ latest murder victim and Meryl Streep in a new mystery role. As a mysterious murder ruins the opening night of Oliver’s newest Broadway show, everyone’s favorite crime-solving trio will find themselves moving beyond the Arconia in the newest season of Only Murders in the Building, which will be released to Hulu on August 8th.

The Winter King (August 20th)

The Winter King, a TV show based on The Warlord Chronicles novels by Bernard Cornwell, is an upcoming series that will re-tell the age-old story of King Arthur and the Knights of Camelot. Told from the perspective of Derfel Cadarn, a disciple of Arthur’s, the ten-part Arthurian epic frames King Arthur as an exiled warlord while a child inherits the unprotected throne of a darker Camelot. Starring Iain De Caestecker, Jordan Alexandra, and Stuart Campbell, The Winter King will be released on MGM+ on August 20th.

Ahsoka (August 23rd)

One of the most anticipated Star Wars properties of the year, Ahsoka will finally be giving fans a standalone series focused on Ahsoka Tano in the years after Order 66, following Anakin Skywalker’s former padawan as she investigates a new threat against a vulnerable galaxy. Along the way, she teams up with the crew of the Ghost, familiar to fans of Star Wars Rebels, which will be making its live-action debut. Starring Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ahsoka will be available on Disney+ starting August 23rd.

A Murder at the End of the World (August 29th)

A refreshing take on the classic murder mystery story, A Murder at the End of the World will feature Emma Corrin as Darby Hart, a young amateur detective who’s been invited to an exclusive, remote retreat by a reclusive billionaire. After the trip takes a dark turn and one of the eight other guests is found murdered, Darby has to put her Gen-Z sleuthing skills and hacking prowess to the test to name the person responsible before anyone else dies. A Murder at the End of the World will be released on Hulu on August 29th.

One Piece

A live-action adaptation of 'One Piece' comes to Netflix on August 31st

One of the most well-known mangas in the world is finally getting a live-action adaptation with Netflix’s One Piece, coming to Netflix next month. Based on the manga and the anime series of the same name, the live-action remake of One Piece will star Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, a pirate captain with mystical abilities. Monkey is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, a band of fugitives searching for the “One Piece,” a treasure that will make Monkey the King of Pirates. Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece is six years in the making, so fans are on the edge of their seats to watch one of the most anticipated TV shows in a long time when it’s released to on August 31st.
