Ubisoft has treated us to another one of their “Ubisoft Forward” presentations, with a variety of game announcements and updates. It lasted just under an hour, and there are certainly some very interesting things to talk about. I was thrilled about one announcement in particular; see if you can guess it.

Gods and Monsters is now Immortals: Fenyx Rising

Last seen at E3 last year as Ubisoft’s “one more thing” closer to their 2020 press conference, Gods and Monsters has been renamed to Immortals: Fenyx Rising and give a December 3 release date. We also got a bigger look at the gameplay we can take part in at the end of the year. Set in the world of Greek mythology, you’ll be able to create a custom version of hero/heroine Fenyx and set off after we wake up shipwrecked.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is back!

One of the last generation’s best 3D action platformers is getting a well-deserved remake for current-gen consoles. We don’t know if the Prince will parkour his way onto the next generation of consoles, but for now, we can at least appreciate his return. The announcement trailer added that fans will be able to unlock the original 1992 version of Prince of Persia within the remake, and Ubisoft promises “even more surprises” to be included.

Sam Fisher comes to Rainbow Six: Siege!

Another announcement goes by without a new Splinter Cell game, and Ubisoft keeps teasing fans by announcing that the series protagonist Sam Fisher is going to be a playable operative as part of the now-released “Operation Shadow Legacy” in the popular tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Siege. Maybe next time, eh?

Scott Pilgrim returns!

Okay, I’ll cave. This is the one that got me hyped the most. I loved the original game back on the last generation of consoles, but after I traded in my Xbox 360 and the game got mysteriously pulled from all digital storefronts, I lost the chance to play one of the best 2D beat-em-ups of all time (yes, it is). Now though, Ubisoft is bringing Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game Complete Edition back, with all the DLC included for current-gen consoles. Hallelujah!

Those were some of the big announcements that we saw; what was your favorite? Leave a comment.

When I'm not researching games to potentially add to an ever-growing backlog of games I've never finished, I'm scouting the next wonderkid on Football Manager, or adding my 180th hour to my Persona 5 completionist run. Likes games, and likes talking about them. Surprise, right?
