Oh Karens, oh Karens. The cornerstone of most unhinged videos on the internet. By now, we’ve seen it all: HOA Karens getting exposed, other Karens getting what they deserve. However, we now have a situation where a New York Karen is getting her husband in trouble. While the man was trying to protect his unhinged wife, he did it in a terrible way that got him the beating of his life and probably a lesson to never stand up for this woman again. But if he does, he should do so in a less racist way.
The above video, which Redditor ArdentChad shared, is quite hectic, so let’s go over it. Initially, the altercation involves a man and this infamous New York Karen. It took place at the 7-Eleven on Lake Ave. in New York. The man starts shouting, “I didn’t touch you,” while the Karen says, “Get the f*ck out of my face.” They continue with this exchange for a while before the man says something that clearly indicates that the woman was doing the usual Karen shenanigans. He says, “You were here trying to harass him,” referring to the man at the counter.
Soon after, the Karen’s husband enters, and the man says, “Get your b*tch before I slap her.” However, the husband responds with a “F*ck you,” followed by a racial slurr. As you can imagine, things escalated in a matter of seconds.
The man who was arguing with the Karen started beating the husband. He slaps him until he’s on the ground and says, “I’m trying to help you.” By this, we imagine the man involved in the verbal confrontation with the Karen was trying to get her out of the establishment before she caused trouble for her and her husband. Yet, it all took a turn too quickly.
The husband remained on the floor, and he even got a kick to the face. The Karen even tried to assault one who was filming, but the man stepped in to say, “She didn’t do sh*t.”
In the end, Karen and her husband left the store, with the former still screaming at the ones inside the establishment. It is uncertain what happened in the aftermath, but due to the situation, we imagine the authorities had to be involved, or so we hope.
