Seems like there were some issues to address in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! and The Handsome Collection. Available as of May 19, a long list of bug and performance fixes has been tended to. From general graphical improvements across all three games to certain, character specific tweaks, Gearbox has run the gamut to make sure our experiences on Pandora and Elpis are ones that we’ll always remember.

You can find the original statement here.

And here are the links to the individual update notes. Today’s updates are on the right side of the pages.

The original Borderlands was released waaaaay back in 2009 and was an instant success. Blending tragic comedy, pop culture references and all the guns you could throw an annoying steward bot at, gamers immersed themselves into the desert world of Pandora to find all her secrets and delicious loot. Then, four campaign add-ons and a couple years later, Borderlands 2 was released on the masses.

Borderlands 2 enjoyed overwhelming positive reaction from all its fans. Introducing a new set of playable characters, a “Five Years Later” version of Pandora and much deeper story and character development, Gearbox expertly built upon the foundations of the first game. Inevitably, it wasn’t enough and two more characters were introduced along side four more campaign additions, five mini campaigns and a whole slew of skin and head customizations to slake the hunger of the millions of loot-hungry Vault Hunters.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! was actually a surprise announcement. Promising to take place between the first two games, new playable characters were introduced (although they had been enemies or annoying beforehand), and the whole new environment of the moon Elpis was introduced. Being in space meant all new mechanics, including low gravity, lasers and a new element (cryo or ice). We also got to hear the Vault Hunters interact with the story on a completely different level than previous games.
