V Rising Players Are Organizing a 500-Dollar Griefer Hunt in PvP Servers

The hunt is on

Initially, we all thought V Rising‘s toughest enemy to beat would be Dracula or any of the many V-Blood carriers around these misty lands. But that’s not the case anymore. Certain V Rising players have put a 500-dollar bounty on griefers, hoping to annoy them so much they’ll quit one of the official PvP servers. Frankly, this is one of the wildest things I’ve seen since the game’s official launch, but given the lack of moderation in certain servers, I guess desperate times call for desperate and expensive measures.

Earlier this week, Reddit user ActualOstrich4 created a post on the official game’s subreddit. It has been deleted, but you can still see the title and the comments here. According to the post, the griefers who now have a bounty on their heads were teaming up in a duo server. As the name implies, you pair up with another player to raid other teams of two people. However, certain denizens of the night decided to get together as a group and raid teams of two members. This quickly angered the community, hence the creation of the bounty. Right now, the bounty stands at 500 USD. The conditions are leveling up, taking the shards, and raiding the castles of three players.

What is baffling to me is the lack of moderation in official servers. I’m aware handling every situation across all servers is tiring for developers. Still, going so far as to create a bounty with real-life money is unbelievable. Oddly enough, most agree with this course of action. Looking at the post, other V Rising players want these griefers out of the PvP servers. Some have even said they don’t have problems getting behind this type of RMT.

Furthermore, it seems this issue isn’t exclusive to this PvP server in V Rising. Looking at the comments, some people have spotted teams of 12 people in a server that’s supposed to have only duos. So, this is bad. Whether Stunlock Studios will address this or not remains a mystery. Still, I feel the developers should do something about it. Ultimately, we’re all in for PvP fun by following the etiquette. But if some gamers decide not to abide by these rules, then that makes them a different kind of sucky vampires.
