The 2015 League of Legends World Championship Finals took place in Berlin, Germany today. It was an exciting day for League of Legends fans worldwide, as SK Telecom T1 battled skillfully against their fellow Korean competitors, KOO Tigers, on the world competitive stage. After a disheartening third-game defeat, SK Telecom T1 fought back to secure their place as world champions.

SK Telecom T1 held a record of 15-1 throughout their journey to the world stage. They secured their spot as world champions of 2015, after game four against their powerful comrade Korean competitors, the KOO Tigers. The award for Most Valuable Player went to SKT T1’s top lane player, Gyeon-hwan “MaRin” Jang. As a team, this marks SK Telecom T1’s second victory in three years. SK Telecom T1 is now the first and only team to win two Summoner’s Cups, the mainstay trophy of the League Champion Series. However, things become more intriguing when you realize that SK’s Sang-hyeok “Faker” Lee and Seong-ung “bengi” Bae are the only competitors to achieve victory twice.
