The airport is home to strange happenings, but a recent scene at Denver International Airport has Internet users questioning the state of the American nation.
A TikTok user @tessau69 captured the moment a Middle Eastern woman knelt in the middle of the airport to read a hostage letter. “She begged me to film. I literally have no idea. Anyone know what this is about,” the accompanying caption read.
Despite a group of police officers standing by, urging her to leave, the woman insisted she had to read the letter because her and her kids’ lives depended on it. “I have to finish this. My kids’ lives are in danger if I don’t say this,” she told authorities before reading out loud the note.
“I have been kidnapped. Me and my kids. Today will be a worse day than 9/11 attack. This is an act of war at [sic] the United States of America.”
The letter continued, with threats of a weapon the USA doesn’t possess, while promising to bring down the nation. “You are losing that war since 9/11,” it read.
More officers gathered around the woman, urging her to leave the airport since the airline had denied her boarding. However, she protested, yelling, “This is for my safety. I am a US Citizen and I have rights.” She complained that airport authorities would throw her in jail for trespassing whenever she tried to report.
“Please somebody report this to the FBI. I already reported this to the police. They did nothhing,” the woman said through tears. I am not a terrorist. My life and my kids’ lives are at risk.”
Concluding her message, the woman pleaded for US protection and in exchange promised to tell the government what she knew. “I can be on the polygraph. I need an FBI criminal lawyer. Please, somebody help me,” she cried out.
Although the recording is reminiscent of a scene from a Hollywood movie about 9/11, users online believe there might be some truth to it, given the current political climate. “This seems real. She sounds like she’s truly in distress,” one commenter pointed out.
“You just witnessed a kidnapped whistleblower be silenced and relocated right in front of you. America truly has become a fascist state. She said so many important things,” one comment read. Some users conceived conspiracy theories to back up the woman’s claims.
“This was posted on May 13th. Two days later, Denver airport had a communication blackout for 90 seconds. 6 days prior to that, on May 9th, Newark had a 90 second blackout. Planes were not able to communicate or speak to air traffic. They are testing the systems. This should concern everyone.”
Others, however, are convinced the woman either has a mental breakdown or is seeking attention. “Someone kidnapped her by leaving her alone at DIA? Yeah, no,” this user argued.
Although there is no concrete proof backing the letter’s content, the recent aviation troubles make it something to be concerned about.
