Blizzard has quietly announced and released Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest as a surprise present for the series’ 30th anniversary. Celebrating the franchise’s three-decade history, this collection brings fresh, modern visuals to the classic games that helped define the Warcraft universe. Yep, this means you can now play Warcraft I to II on PC in full HD, remastered graphics. This collection not only includes the Warcraft RTS trilogy and its upgrades but also perks to entice both longtime fans and newer players.

For $40 — $25 for Reforged owners — players can dive back into the original storyline with Warcraft I: Remastered, with updated visuals and quality-of-life improvements. Enhancements include HD 2D graphics, UI tweaks, faster gameplay, larger unit selection, and compatibility with legacy custom maps.

Warcraft II: Remastered follows the same formula, enhancing Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal with similar tweaks for a smoother experience. Best of all, you can change the Warcraft I and II Remastered graphics on the fly, just like how Halo: The Master Chief Collection did it.

Meanwhile, Warcraft III: Reforged has received a significant 2.0 patch, which is available for all Reforged owners. It adds revamped ladders and a new interface as well as uprezzed environments and Classic HD visuals. But that’s not all: you can also mix and match which graphical assets you want to use. Do you like how Reforged environments look but prefer Classic HD units? Just tweak the options in the settings!

The Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest also packs content for fans of the classic versions. Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition are included in the bundle.

On top of the games, players who grab the Remastered Battle Chest are given bonuses for other Blizzard releases, such as:

  • Warcraft III Reforged: Champion of the Horde Thrall, Daughter of the Seas Proudmoore, Fallen King Arthas, and Emerald Nightmare Cenarius skins.
  • World of Warcraft: Meat Wagon mount.
  • Diablo III: Mal’ganis pet.
  • Heroes of the Storm: Jaina, Thrall, Anub’arak, and Tyrande heroes.
  • StarCraft II: Alliance, Horde, Sentinels, and Scourge console skins.
  • StarCraft Remastered: Spoils of War console skin.
  • Hearthstone: The Third War card back.
  • Overwatch 2: four animated sprays and five player icons.

We can’t say that the $40 tag is worth the admission, but you can bet that Warcraft I and II Remastered will satisfy die-hard players. But, if you’re up for some nostalgic campaigns throughout Azeroth, and fancy getting some exclusive mounts and skins, Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest might be worth a look.
