Ring cameras are always a good safety measure as they help identify unwelcome visitors. Sometimes, however, these cameras catch weird, even scary stuff. One such example is that of a Washington man who was caught on a Ring camera burning it. I’ve seen a lot of crazy stuff caught on camera, but this takes the cake.
In the video, you can see a man approaching. He then takes out what might be a lighter or a small torch and directs it at the camera. Of course, the camera is immediately burned, and the lens becomes blurry. You can still see some slight movement despite this. The man obviously walked away after carrying out this weird and scary act.
People Reacting to the Washington Man’s Insanity
Immediately, people were left worried for the safety of the Ring camera’s owner. Several people start offering advice to the owner and warning him that the man might come back. “Protect yourself until it is fixed….,” one person wrote. Another replied in agreement as they said, “Yeah that’s super creepy. I’d be worried he’s planning on returning.” The owner also noted that for some reason, the guy wasn’t afraid of showing his face before he burned the camera. This fact made one person claim that he would be stupid to come back. They wrote:
“Nah. Messing with the camera without a mask is the dumbest possible thing to do if you plan on coming back later. You’re giving the target a big heads-up and multiple frames with your face and build.”
One Redditor disagreed with this as they commented, “You sir, underestimate the stupidity of people today.” That’s probably right. Someone joked that the Washington man might have some hatred toward Ring cameras. “Probably planning on coming back with friends or just hates ring cameras,” they wrote. Aside from warning the owner, someone stepped in and mentioned that he could contact Ring to replace his now-ruined camera. “Yeah, I’ve already submitted a request for a replacement,” wrote the owner. Hopefully, the company will agree to replace the camera, and this psycho won’t return anytime soon.
