UPS has been trusted with our deliveries for years. However, it seems not every employee there is worthy of that trust. Recently, a Washington UPS driver has been accused of allegedly stealing from a client. Although, exactly what the worker stole may be even more surprising. The driver in charge of making the drop made sure the package never made it to the front door. This driver reportedly stole over $16k worth of cancer medication from the customer.

According to a Reddit post in the subreddit, Legal Advice, a user is stunned as they recall the event. Thankfully, the driver was recorded via a Ring camera. The entire crime has been caught on film, as the UPS driver was seemingly caught in broad daylight. In the video provided by the Ring camera, viewers can see the driver walk into the frame with a package in their hand. However, they do not place the meds on the porch, instead, they walk right past it. They marked the box as “delivered” and hopped right back into their UPS truck. The customer, as well as many social media users, are incredibly angry, and rightfully so. This is “A matter of life and death,” said one Reddit user via the comment section.

Social Media Users Give Their Suggestions Regarding a Washington UPS Driver That Stole Medication

The person who posted the original story has made it clear that they are open to suggestions regarding legal action, and many users were happy to share their opinions.

“You can report this to the police,” said one.

“Tell your pharmacy,” wrote another.

Finally, one stated, “UPS will take this very seriously.”

It would seem the Reddit community has rallied together for this one, as plenty of suggestions were brought to the attention of the post’s creator.

This Washington UPS driver may be facing potential legal repercussions. These include criminal charges as well as the company working with law enforcement to launch an investigation. On top of that, the driver could be let go. If losing a job and having police breathing down your neck was not enough to keep a driver in line, then what really is?

UPS is one of the two most well-known shipping companies in the world. Having a situation like this, especially when it regards extremely important medication, is just not a good look at all. It is currently unclear what is to happen to the Washington UPS driver. However, they are certain to face some kind of consequences for their actions. Hopefully, the customer was able to get their important meds before things went from bad to even worse.
