Do you want to know what Disruptor Rounds do in Apex Legends? Besides some new items, such as Node Tracker, Respawn Entertainment has returned some old mechanics with season 18. Disruptor Rounds is one of these old mechanics occasionally appearing in the game. However, it has returned with some changes and will give you a lot of advantages in the battle if you use it correctly. So, let’s look at Disruptor Rounds and how to find it in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends Disruptor Rounds Explained

Disruptor Rounds in Apex Legends is Hop-Up Attachment, first introduced in Season 2. It increases damage to shield targets spent with the weapon. Any Hop-Up attachment is very powerful. However, Disruptor Rounds are more unique, with increased damage from 1.5 to 1.7 once equipped.

This may be why the developer removed this attachment after season 2 and only introduced it back in season 10. Because Respawn Entertainment might have thought it is too powerful, players with this attachment might gain overwhelming advantages during the battle.

In season 2, it could be used for Alternator SMG and the RE-45 Auto, and in season 10, it was integrated into Alternator SMG and was not available as a Hop-Up. Also, from season 15 to season 17, Disruptor Rounds in Apex Legends was available only in care packages integrated into weapons.

However, after long waiting, it is back as a Hop-Up attachment for Alternator SMG and the Peacekeeper. The Alternatorย will have a 20%ย  while the Peacekeeper will have a 25% increase in shield damage. If you are an experienced player, you might have got it on Alternator SMG. However, using it on Peacekeeper is new to all players and provides you with a different tactic. Especially with Peacekeepers’ remarkable damage ability, this attachment will give you a significant advantage over the opponents.

How to Find Disruptor Rounds in Apex Legends?

Like any other Hop-Up attachment, it is usually available in supply bins. If you want to find it, supply bins in hot zones are the best locations. However, you can discover Disruptor Rounds also in other locations.

The return of Disruptor Rounds as a Hop-Up attachment in Apex Legends marks a significant shift in gameplay strategy. Since it has been tested for a long time, we can expect a good outcome for the gameplay with its return. So, getting your hand on it at the early stage of season 18 will give you an edge over the opponents. If you want to check how it worked on season 10, watch the below gameplay from iTemp Plays.
