Regardless of which Moon you’ve landed on in Lethal Company, there’s always something out there that can kill you. However, your chances of survival diminish significantly based on the Hazard Level of the location you arrive at. For instance, The Company Building isn’t exactly a Moon, per se, and neither does it have any dangerous threats, making it a “Safe” location. Conversely, if you land on Titan, which has a Hazard Level S+ in Lethal Company, you’re in for a wild ride!

Lethal Company Hazard Levels, Explained

The concept of Hazard Levels in Lethal Company is simple; the system works as a tier list or school grades would. At D, you can rest easy knowing very little will obstruct you from collecting your Scrap and extracting. On the other hand, if you decide to pay a B, A, or S-labeled Moon a visit, you better be prepared to have a bad dayโ€”in a hopefully fun way, of course.

This table will show you how the Moons are categorized in terms of their Hazard Level inย Lethal Company:

DineS
TitanS+

Low Hazard Level Moons have low-threat monsters, like Hoarding Bugs or Bunker Spiders. On the other side of the spectrum, you are very likely to encounter Eyeless Dogs, Coil-Heads, or, God forbid, the Ghost Girl on high-level Hazard locations.ย

For example, we set a course for Titan after surviving a short expedition on Dine. The moment we stepped outside the Ship, we were eaten by an Eyeless Dog that spawned right outside the door hatch. Unfair? Most definitelyโ€”but it’s a good representation of what kind of unwarranted, relentless experiences of terror you’ll encounter when attempting to explore these Moons.

My final piece of advice would be to learn the entries in the Bestiary as best you can. The higher the Danger Level of said monster, the more likely you’ll see it on high-Hazard-Level Moons. Do note that daytime, night, and eclipses play a role in how the beasties appear as well.ย
