Once you’ve hit HR 11 in Monster Hunter Now, you’ll start running into Huntathons. These are events located in specific areas that allow you to hunt multiple monsters at one time. Huntathons only happen at certain times, so be on the lookout for any around you while you hunt. Let’s get into what the Monster Hunter Now Huntathon is, how to participate, and tips for succeeding.

The Huntathon in Monster Hunter Now is a randomized event that happens at specific locations on the map. Check out these notes that explain exactly what it is:

  • Huntathons can be played with up to four players.
  • The monsters are randomized though in some events, the lineup may be fixed.
  • To participate, you need to be within range of an event location.
  • Huntathons have a three-hour cooldown before you can join another one.
  • Huntathons conclude 30 minutes after appearing.
  • The monster’s health does not change depending on how many hunters are fighting.

How to Participate in the Huntathon

To participate in a Huntathon, follow these steps:

  1. Specific Gathering Points will turn into blue Huntathon points 30 minutes prior to the event starting. A large monster will appear to show the event starting.
  2. When the Huntathon point is in range, tap to join it.
  3. Tap the Join option to go into the lobby.
  4. When you want to start hunting, tap the Start Hunting option. You can choose to play with an additional three players.
  5. When you defeat the first monster, you can fight the next monster if there is one.
  6. The Huntathon ends once the 30-minute timer ends or all the monsters have been hunted.

Huntathon Tips and Tricks

The biggest tips we can offer you for hunting in Huntathons is:

  • Only try to start this if you know that you’ll be available after the three-hour respawn. That way, you can take advantage of multiple hunts in a single location.
  • Hunt with as many players as you can. Try to get friends to join so that you can beat monsters faster and each get more rewards.
  • Try to have multiple Huntathon tickets on you. This lessens the time between hunts from three hours to zero. You can purchase these tickets for real-world money within the in-app store.
